About GMBI Green Metals Battery Innovations (GMBI) is a joint venture between Toyota Tsusho America and LG Energy Solution. GMBI supports the growing electric vehicle supply chain by recovering valuable materials from battery production scrap and preparing them for recycling. Our operations help create a circular battery economy while maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and environmental responsibility. Position Summary The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations from a centralized control room. This role oversees production systems, monitors alarms and system data, and communicates with field operators to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. Key Responsibilities Monitor plant operations through control room systems and process monitoring software Respond to alarms, abnormal operating conditions, and system alerts Adjust operational parameters to maintain production efficiency Coordinate with field operators, maintenance teams, and supervisors Maintain accurate logs and operational records Support plant start‑ups, shutdowns, and system transitions Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of manufacturing, production, or plant operations experience preferred Experience with SCADA, DCS, or industrial control systems preferred Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to remain focused and make decisions in high‑pressure situations Strong communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally heavier loads with assistance. Work Environment Manufacturing and industrial recycling environment with moving equipment and mechanical processes. Employees must follow all safety requirements including PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and respirators when required.

Pay:

$23.00 - $32.23 per hour
