Bismarck State College is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Media Production Associate to help bring our stories, events, and initiatives to life through high-quality video and audio production. If you thrive behind the camera, in the control room, or at the editing station, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact while supporting campus events, athletics, marketing campaigns, and more. What You'll Do Live Production, Support & Streaming Plan and direct live and recorded productions, including camera operation, audio mixing, and event directing. Lead and assist with setup and teardown of equipment for livestreams and recordings. Direct and record Mystic athletic broadcasts on and off campus. Incorporate video, motion graphics, and audio elements into engaging productions. Troubleshoot and reconfigure audio/video equipment as needed. Help maintain campus production and broadcasting equipment. Stay current with emerging video, livestreaming, and broadcast technologies and trends. Marketing & Social Media Content Creation Design, edit, and produce video and audio content for marketing campaigns, social media, and campus events. Assist with concept development, storyboarding, location scouting, scheduling, and interviews. Collaborate with campus stakeholders to create compelling marketing and operational media. Organize, maintain, and archive media assets and project files. Transform scripted and unscripted footage into polished, engaging productions. Track project progress and ensure deadlines and goals are achieved. Maintain brand consistency and alignment with BSC's mission across all content. Additional Responsibilities Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas and recommendations. Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals. Support innovation and continuous improvement within the department and college. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in video production or related field Demonstrates extensive knowledge in post-production applications and technologies including, but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite Tricaster models Ability to work non-business hours (nights & weekends) Proficient with professional cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment. Experience in shooting both video and stills using different types of cameras and photography equipment. Demonstrates working knowledge of video production, workgroup, and project workflow skills. Strong ability to use different types of studios and production equipment and related software technologies. Demonstrates working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Mac and Windows). Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to work with diverse personalities with all levels of computer experience. Ability to work under pressure on a variety of projects simultaneously. Travel is required, and you must have a current, valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Higher education experience. Bachelor's degree in video production or related field. One or more years of related experience. Experience with animations.
