05/2026 Position Summary The Wall Panel Builder Lead is responsible for leading daily wall panel production operations within the manufacturing facility. This position oversees workflow, assists with scheduling and coordination of production activities, ensures quality standards are met, and helps train and support production employees. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a safe and productive work environment while meeting production deadlines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and assist in the assembly of wall panels according to engineered drawings and company quality standards. Coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and on-time completion of projects. Assign work tasks and provide direction to wall panel crew members throughout the workday. Monitor production quality and verify completed panels meet specifications before shipment. Train and mentor new and existing employees on proper building techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation. Assist management in identifying workflow improvements and production efficiencies. Maintain organized work areas and ensure material staging is prepared for production. Communicate material shortages, production concerns, equipment issues, and labor needs to management. Operate tools and equipment safely including nail guns, saws, presses, forklifts, and other production equipment. Assist with loading and unloading materials and completed wall panels as needed. Enforce company safety policies and actively promote a culture of workplace safety. Perform other duties as assigned. Leadership Expectations Lead by example through professionalism, work ethic, attendance, and safety practices. Maintain a positive and respectful work environment. Help hold crew members accountable for productivity, quality, and safety standards. Assist in resolving production issues quickly and effectively. Support communication between shop employees and management. Safety Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Ensure employees are following proper PPE and safe work practices. Recognize and address unsafe conditions immediately. Report injuries, incidents, near misses, and equipment concerns promptly. Participate in safety meetings, stretch and flex activities, and ongoing safety training. Maintain awareness of surroundings and exercise stop-work authority if unsafe conditions exist. Competencies Strong knowledge of wall panel construction methods and production processes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layouts. Skilled in use of production tools and equipment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to problem solve and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be dependable with strong attendance history. Minimum 3 years of construction, framing, manufacturing, or wall panel production experience required. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Work Environment / Physical Activity Work is performed within a manufacturing/shop environment subject to temperature variations, dust, noise, and moving mechanical equipment. Must be able to frequently lift and carry 35-60 pounds and occasionally up to 90 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, pulling, and pushing required throughout the workday. Must be able to safely operate equipment and work around moving machinery while following all safety procedures.
