Production Associate $17-$22/hr Wahoo, NE Job Description The Production Associate supports daily operations in a meat-processing facility by performing a variety of hands-on production tasks. This role involves rotating duties such as packaging, labeling, operating equipment, and maintaining clean, food-safe work areas. Enjoy a steady work-life balance schedule on a 1st shift with no weekends! Responsibilities Perform general production duties in a fast-paced meat-processing environment. Stand for extended periods throughout the shift while completing production tasks. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed to move products and materials. Package finished products according to specifications and quality standards. Label products accurately to ensure proper identification and traceability. Operate sausage-packaging equipment safely and efficiently after training. Hang meats and assist with jerky preparation and related production steps. Inspect products and packaging for quality, accuracy, and consistency. Follow all sanitation procedures and maintain a clean, food-safe work area. Rotate between tasks based on daily production needs and staffing requirements. Adhere to all safety, cleanliness, and food-handling standards throughout the shift. Work collaboratively with team members to keep production running smoothly and efficiently. Essential Skills Ability to stand for long periods during an entire shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties. Comfort working in a food-production and meat-processing environment. Demonstrated reliability in attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn new tasks and follow detailed instructions. Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards. Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting. Basic ability to perform general labor, packaging, inspection, packing, and labeling tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Interest in learning to operate production and packaging equipment. Comfort rotating between different tasks and workstations throughout the day. The environment is active and hands-on, with team members standing, moving, lifting, and working with production equipment for most of the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
