Job Description

About us Cilley Veterinary Clinic is a veterinary hospital providing medical services, overnight boarding for dogs and cats, doggy daycare, and grooming services to Concord and the surrounding areas. We are seeking additional staffing for our boarding kennel and doggie daycare. We are looking for coverage on shifts which will include hours on Weekdays from 7:15am-6:30pm, and which will include hours on some or all weekends; Saturdays from 7:15am-12:30pm & 3:30p-5:30p, and Sundays from 7:15am-9:30am & 3:30pm-5:30pm. We are looking to fill a role which would offer 25-40 hours of work each week, but may be open to discussing other arrangements depending on availability and coverage needs. Professional Animal Care experience in a similar setting is ideal for this position . We are looking to add dedicated members to our team that have a strong passion for animal care backed by experience in this field. Lacking experience, a willingness to work hard and learn new things with an eye for attention to detail and thoroughness is essential. This job requires strength and stamina , and a lengthy amount of time on your feet. You must be comfortable handling all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. Every day will likely bring something different and new. All applicants must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, punctual, have reliable transportation, be able to work in all weather conditions, be able to read and write, lift 50 lbs, and be able to work both independently as well as in a team setting, as well as being ready and willing to learn new things and face new challenges. Reliability and dependability are an absolute must. Primary duties include (but are not limited to) : Daily care of our daycare and boarding dogs and cats - feeding, filling water bowls, administering medication, cleaning & disinfection as necessary, providing all care as needed, and learning and following schedules, protocols, and operating procedures, etc. Supervising groups of dogs while they play outside to ensure their safety, bringing groups and single dogs outside and back in for exercise and fresh air over the course of the day, and constructing compatible social groups based on their individual personalities and needs. Laundry, washing dishes, cleaning cages and runs, and other general cleaning and disinfection around the kennel and hospital as scheduled and as needed. Maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds as needed, including sanding/salting and snow removal in Winter, and other seasonal tasks as they come up. Additional tasks as needed. Additional duties may include (but are not limited to): Customer Service and Reception - greeting clients, using computers and phones, processing payments, scheduling appointments and reservations, data-entry, processing paperwork, etc. (Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office products is very helpful.) Bathing and basic maintenance grooming of dogs and cats as needed. Please include your resume and a cover letter with your availability and why you would be a good candidate for this role . Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
