Production Supervisor Join Our 2nd Shift Team! Bake'n Joy Foods is seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our 2nd Shift Manufacturing Team . Whether you're an experienced Group Leader, Machine Operator, Batch Maker, Oven Attendant, Pan Washer, or looking to build a career in food manufacturing, we have opportunities available on the shift that helps prepare our bakery for the next day's production. Our 2nd Shift team plays a critical role in producing high-quality bakery products, maintaining efficient operations, and ensuring our production lines are set up for success. Job Summary/Objective Members of our 2nd Shift Manufacturing Team are responsible for safely and efficiently producing, baking, packaging, and preparing bakery products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. Depending on the role, responsibilities may include operating production equipment, mixing ingredients, monitoring ovens, leading production teams, packaging finished goods, cleaning equipment, and supporting daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, values safety and quality, and is willing to work a flexible schedule to help meet production goals. Essential Functions Depending on the role, responsibilities may include: Production & Equipment Operations Operate, monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot production and packaging equipment. Set up machinery and production lines according to product specifications. Monitor oven temperatures, machine settings, production speeds, and product quality. Prepare and produce ingredient batches by accurately following formulas and production instructions. Support packaging, palletizing, and movement of finished products throughout the facility. Quality Assurance Perform quality checks on ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products. Monitor product characteristics such as color, texture, consistency, aroma, and appearance. Complete required production, quality, and traceability documentation. Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or process improvements. Safety & Sanitation Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, allergen, and sanitation procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Support wash-down, cleaning, and sanitation activities as required. Leadership & Teamwork (Group Leader Position) Assign daily work responsibilities and coordinate staffing needs. Coach and mentor team members on production, safety, and quality procedures. Monitor productivity and workflow to meet production schedules. Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to ensure efficient operations. Competencies Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Basic math and problem-solving abilities. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Commitment to safety, food safety, and continuous improvement. Work Environment Indoor food manufacturing environment. Exposure to machinery, production equipment, varying temperatures, ingredients, and bakery products. Moderate to high noise levels. Some positions may work near industrial ovens and heat sources. Required use of PPE including hair nets, beard nets, safety shoes, ear protection, and uniforms. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete floors. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, and lifting. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds depending on the position. Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and production lines. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to understand and follow safety and production procedures. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or bakery experience. Experience operating production or packaging equipment. Experience with material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand jacks. Food manufacturing, GMP, HACCP, or food safety training.
