Accepting Candidates About the Role Join one of the most advanced engineering teams supporting next-generation targeting and mission systems. This role is focused on hands-on board-level hardware design, PCBA development, system integration, lab bring-up, validation, and manufacturing support for low-SWaP defense electronics. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing and integrating PCBAs, processors, sensors, and digital interfaces while supporting hardware from concept through production. Key Responsibilities Board-Level Hardware Design Design PCBAs including:
Schematic Capture Component Selection Interface Definition Integrate:
Processors Sensors Digital Interfaces FPGA-based subsystems Collaborate with PCB layout teams to optimize: Signal Integrity Manufacturability Performance Hardware Bring-Up & Validation Perform board bring-up activities Develop validation plans and test methodologies Execute hardware verification and debug activities Troubleshoot prototype and production hardware issues Perform lab-based testing and validation System Integration Collaborate with: Mechanical Engineering Embedded Software Systems Engineering Manufacturing Support full product integration activities Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions Manufacturing Support Support transition from prototype to production Assist with: DFM (Design for Manufacturability) DFT (Design for Testability) Support production and manufacturing troubleshooting Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering 5+ years of board-level hardware design experience Strong experience with: PCBA Design Schematic Capture Hardware Integration Board Bring-Up Hardware Debug Experience using at least one: Altium Cadence Mentor Graphics Experience with: Digital Circuit Design Analog Circuit Design Processor-Based Systems Experience integrating FPGA-based hardware Strong lab troubleshooting experience Highly Preferred Qualifications Low-voltage power design experience (24V-48V) Battery-powered electronics experience SWaP-constrained system design Signal Integrity (SI) Power Integrity (PI) Ruggedized electronics Military or mission-critical systems Defense contractor experience Compensation $55-60/hr W2
