Job Title:
Production Operator Job Description This entry-level Production Operator role offers hands-on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment where you directly impact product quality and help improve real lives. You will manually divide powdered product into bags by hand scooping raw materials, accurately weigh and package materials, and complete batch records to ensure full traceability. You will work with a supportive team, with clear opportunities to grow into a Production Operator and Senior Production Operator position as you develop your skills and knowledge. Responsibilities Read and follow detailed written operating instructions to complete production tasks accurately and safely. Manually scoop powdered product into bags and ensure each bag meets specified weight and quality requirements. Weigh raw materials and finished product on scales and record measurements with a high level of accuracy. Fill out and maintain batch records completely and legibly to ensure full documentation of the manufacturing process. Box and package finished product according to established procedures and quality standards. Perform visual inspections of product, packaging, and equipment to ensure compliance with quality expectations. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas according to procedures to maintain product quality and cleanliness. Communicate manufacturing process status, issues, and progress clearly to the Shift Team Lead or Supervisor. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety guidelines at all times while working in the production area. Use basic hand tools and demonstrate mechanical aptitude to support routine equipment operation and simple adjustments. Contribute to a cleanroom and general production environment by adhering to cleanliness, organization, and contamination control standards. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work at a multi-plant manufacturing site that operates a variety of technologies, including fermentation houses, spray drying and spray chill processes, beadleting processes, and vitamin granulation lines. The environment includes cleanroom and general production areas, with a strong emphasis on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), cleanliness, and equipment hygiene. You will work with production machinery, scales for weighing materials, packaging equipment, and basic hand tools. The facility focuses on maintaining a safe, organized, and quality-driven workspace suitable for producing powdered products used in sensitive applications such as baby food. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Belvidere, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $52000.00/yr. Company Benefits Comprehensive Health & Welfare benefits program offered to all eligible US employees on your start date. You must enroll in these benefits within your first 30 days of employment. Information about benefits is available to you at any time on mydsmbenefits.com and a benefits overview document has been included for your review. ▪ In addition to the above, you have the opportunity to participate in 401(k) retirement plan. Contributes an amount equal to 4% of your total eligible pay to your 401(k) plan, regardless of whether you participate. If you contribute to the plan, company will also match 100% of the first 4% of total eligible pay that you contribute. Company will automatically enroll you in the plan at 4% of pay which will be deducted and contributed toward the plan unless you decline or make another election. You will receive a welcome package from the 401(k) vendor soon after joining. Your pay and contributions are subject to plan and IRS limits as outlined in the Summary Plan Description. ▪ Your Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues on a pay period basis, with a maximum of 18 days per year, for the first five years of employment. Thereafter, your accrual rate increases based on Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Belvidere,NJ.
