Job Description

Team Lead 7am-3:30pm
JOB SUMMARY
This role supports daily manufacturing operations by ensuring safe, efficient production while assisting with crew leadership and training. The position helps monitor machine performance, maintain workplace organization and safety standards, and provide operational support such as break relief, material handling, and production reporting. The role also assists with training employees, auditing paperwork and safety practices, coordinating shift communications, and escalating production issues to maintain continuous operations and compliance with FDA, GDP, and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fill in for Supervisor when necessary Monitor associates and machines for safety Maintain area of responsibility with proper 5S Provide break relief as required Operate machines as assigned during shift, unless filling-in for the Supervisor. Crew trainer for new employees Assist in training personnel on their crew to any required annual and new training. Auditing paperwork, plant safety and cleanliness throughout their shift. Assist with material handler and blending roles when required. Ensure safety, FDA rules & GDP regulations are enforced. Focus on keeping production moving. Coordinate communication of details across shift change-over. Train and verify IQMS downtime and scrap reporting. Perform production reporting as assigned. Make sure all breaks are rotated properly. Escalate downtime events to Supervisor, Maintenance, Engineering and Management as needed. Update daily accountability board as required. Monitor, update (as needed), and ensure appropriate use of hour by hour boards. Check hourly rates of machines as needed. Check schedule changes and any impacts. Assist with quality holds, MRBs, and corrective actions as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Perform current role at or above target with no disciplinary action on file for at least 90 days.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1-3
years prior experience as a production operator. Additional education in related vo-tech, operations or manufacturing field. Prior experience in ISO 9001 and/or
ISO13485
manufacturing environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Log in to IQ and enter production data and complete production forms (batch record) Read, understand and follow documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedures.
Apply basic math skills:
add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or visual/diagram form. Self-motivated, conscientious, with a results-oriented mindset. Good organizational and communication skills to work independently and also in a team environment. Ability to use measuring devices such as Comparator, Dial indicator, Go/No Go gauges. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and demands. Strong technical aptitude, as well as analytical and problem solving skills to trouble shoot and solve problems. Sound judgment - ability to work efficiently with many competing demands. Ability to communicate their job-related functions with other employees, customers and auditors as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Manufacturing environment The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
