OPEN ROLES
1.
Utility Worker:
SWING SHIFT
(Days and Nights) 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am
Your Role:
Handling day to day of the paper-making process. The Utility Worker in a paper pulp mill plays a vital role in supporting mill operations by performing general labor, equipment cleaning, and assisting with production tasks. This entry-level position provides an opportunity to learn the pulp and paper manufacturing process while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist operators and technicians with machine setup, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Load, unload, and transport raw materials, chemicals, and finished products as needed.
  • Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other material handling equipment (if certified).
  • Monitor and inspect production areas for potential hazards, spills, or maintenance needs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment issues under supervision.
  • Follow all safety regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Support shutdowns, equipment changeovers, and maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to environmental compliance guidelines and waste disposal procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
2. Converting Operator 2: Nights, 6pm - 6am, subject to change with business demand
Job Summary:
This individual is responsible for being able to run the converting asset on a day-to-day basis. This includes working with incumbent team to learn the equipment, lead changeovers, process troubleshooting, and other tasks as required to sustain and improve machine efficiency. The job classification per the CBA is Operator 2.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Individual must be able to operate a
PCMC / BW
converting asset, understand all relevant operations, and troubleshoot process issues
  • Adhere to site safety and quality policies
  • Change log saw blades
  • Troubleshoot process issues
  • Understand and execute the escalation policy
  • Work closely with maintenance to resolve problems
  • Individual must correctly know how to operate the log saw, case packer, hand stack cases, wrapper, drive fork truck and clamp truck 3.
Converting Operator 1
C:
Nights, 6pm - 6am, subject to change with business demand
Job Summary:
This individual is responsible for being able to run the converting asset on a day-to-day basis. This includes working with incumbent team to learn the equipment, lead changeovers, process troubleshooting, and other tasks as required to sustain and improve machine efficiency. The job classification per the CBA is Operator 1C.

  • Individual must be able to operate a

converting asset, understand all relevant operations, and troubleshoot process issues
  • Adhere to site safety and quality policies
  • Change log saw blades
  • Troubleshoot process issues
  • Understand and execute the escalation policy
  • Work closely with maintenance to resolve problems
  • Individual must correctly know how to operate the log saw, wrappers, case packer, hand stack cases, wrapper, drive fork truck and clamp truck 4.
Converting GH 2

6pm - 6am, subject to change with business demand

converting asset, understand all relevant operations, and troubleshoot process issues
  • Adhere to site safety and quality policies
  • Troubleshoot process issues
  • Understand and execute the escalation policy
  • Work closely with maintenance to resolve problems
  • Individual must correctly know how to hand stack cases and operate the stretch wrapper, drive fork truck and clamp truck.
