No prior semiconductor experience required; training will be provided. In this role, you will be responsible for multiple stages of wafer preparation, including both initial rough polishing and high-precision final polishing to ensure that the silicon substrates we produce meet nanometer-scale surface requirements. This is a technical role that combines mechanical machinery operation with chemical processing. You will work with polishing slurries, etching agents, and precision measurement tools in a controlled environment.

Primary Responsibilities Machine Operation:

Set up, operate, and monitor specialized wafer polishing and etching equipment.

Process Control:

Configure and adjust machine settings to achieve specific surface finishes and meet production requirements.

Quality Inspection:

Use micrometers and precision metrology tools to verify wafer specifications and check quality throughout manufacturing process.

Documentation:

Maintain continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and maintenance needs.

Chemical Handling:

Safely handle and mix chemical slurries and etching agents required for the polishing process.

Cleanroom Standards:

Adhere to strict ISO standards and cleanroom protocols to ensure zero contamination of finished products.

Qualifications Technical Aptitude:

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and work proficiently with hand tools.

Precision:

High attention to detail and basic math skills for quality control and material estimations.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds.

Mindset:

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Skills Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues (motors, gears, transmissions). Background in engineering or technical trades.
