Machine Operator - Production Team Lead

SUMMARY :

Installs, fixes, and operates various types of machinery. Performs routine maintenance checks, follows strict safety regulations and guidelines and operates mechanical or computer-operated equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for operating automated production machinery Ability to inspect products on a continuous flow production line Light product assembly (hand assembly of parts) required Assembling boxes, applying labels, filling out production logs Under the guidance of supervision, may be asked to train our new employees on day to day operations Other tasks as assigned (The duties of the position are subject to change by management at any time based on the needs of the business)

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Production Floor Lead In addition to the duties outlined in the Machine Operator job description, the Production Floor Lead will assist in supporting daily production operations while continuing to perform machine operation duties.

Continue to operate production machinery while assisting in coordinating workflow and maintaining production efficiency on the production floor Assist the supervisor with coordinating production personnel and daily workflow to ensure production goals and schedules are met Perform kit pulling and preparation of materials to ensure production lines are properly staged and ready for operation Provide guidance and operational direction to machine operators and assist with training new employees on daily production processes and procedures Monitor production activity, identify operational issues, and assist in resolving problems in real time while escalating concerns to supervision when necessary Work closely with Quality Control to ensure MII s product lines consistently meet all quality standards and specifications Support adherence to safety procedures, quality requirements, and proper completion of production documentation Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment while reinforcing company policies and procedures (5S Principals ) Act as a communication point between production staff, quality, Supervision and management to help ensure smooth daily operations Uphold MII s core values to the highest standard and promote those values throughout daily production operations and team interactions Other tasks as assigned (The duties of the position are subject to change by management at any time based on the needs of the business)

• This position is very hands-on.

Operators are usually in the production area on-their feet" about 80% of the shift.

QUALIFICATIONS A

high school diploma or GED is desired Flexible in a fast paced environment Self-starter and highly motivated with strong work ethic and integrity Warehouse / Production experience is a plus Experience operating machinery or manufacturing experience is a plus The duties of the position are subject to change by management at any time based on the needs of the business Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
