Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Control Room Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is an important role in our mill operations, responsible for helping ensure that feed is produced safely, accurately, and efficiently each day. As a Control Room Operator, you will help run the central systems that keep the mill moving. You will be responsible for receiving raw ingredients, operating batching and mixing systems, and helping manufacture high-quality feed products, including pelleted, textured, and mineral feeds. This position is a great fit for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, enjoys a fast-paced production environment, and is comfortable combining technical operation with hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities Mill Operations:
Monitor and operate control room systems to mix, batch, and process various feed types according to specific formulas.
Ingredient Receiving:
Safely oversee, receive, and document incoming bulk ingredients into the mill.
Quality Control:
Follow feed formulas precisely to ensure accurate batching and consistent product quality for pelleted, textured, and mineral feeds.
Housekeeping and Sanitation:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the control room and surrounding mill areas. Cleanliness is a top priority.
Manual Labor and Support:
Assist with physical tasks around the mill as needed.
Inventory Management:
Monitor ingredient inventory levels and communicate needs to help prevent interruptions during production. Shift & Hours The typical hours are for First Shift with a 1-hour lunch break. Seasonal Hours to be expected are as follows:
Off-Peak Season:
6:00 AM - 5:30 PM, or a similar 10-hour shift
Peak Season:
4:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with extended hours depending on production demand Exact start and end times may vary slightly depending on operational demands Physical Requirements & Qualifications • Candidates must be able to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry bags weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. • This role also requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and work in an industrial environment that may be dusty, noisy, and affected by outside temperatures.
Additional qualifications include:
