Job Description
Job Summary The Bakery is seeking a reliable and hard-working full time Associate that mixes, kneads, rolls, and cuts, dough for bread production. Mixes ingredients according to recipes to produce breads, and other wholesale bread products. Bread is produced in large quantities for sale through establishments such as grocery stores, restaurants, and other food sales establishments. Bread is produced with high volume production equipment, and machinery. Given the production environment, working hours may include late night start time or early morning start time to be able to facilitate production of goods for delivery. Overtime may be required at times, but is not promised. Job Tasks/Duties Learn and facilitate basic ingredients and formulations. Coordinate repetitive functions at a fast pace. Lift, carry and move trays of dough or freshly baked bread. Mixes, kneads, rolls, cuts, dough for bread production. Cleans and sanitizes working station before and after preparation of product. Loads molded dough on baking pans, baking mold trays, ready for ovens. Slices bread loafs using a high production slicer machine. Packages bread in plastic bags using a high production packaging machine. Follows order lists, to produce the order inventory, and stacks completed orders on bread racks ready for delivery drivers to pick up the next morning, or same day pick up orders. Works as a team with other production employees. Follows and adheres to all food safety protocol and training. Assists in other areas of production as requested by manager. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GED, preferred but not required. 1-2 years of experience working in a food manufacturing, or food production setting (preferred) Basic math skills, and ability to read basic English Physical Demands and Work Environment Works in a wholesale production bakery. Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
