General Production Worker Pay:
$20- $21 Job Description The General Production Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in production operations by ensuring all waste is collected and prepared for disposal or recycling. This role emphasizes safety both in maintaining a hazard-free production floor and using baling machines safely. Responsibilities Walk the production floor and collect paper waste, removing materials that could pose hazards to employees. Operate baling machines to bale waste paper and stage bales for disposal or recycling. Keep areas around machines and walkways free of obstructions to ensure safety. Sweep and organize the work area around baling machines, ensuring waste carts are properly stored. Maintain a focus on safety at all times. Essential Skills Knowledge of safe manufacturing practices. Ability to be thorough and efficient. Ability to work quickly and accurately. Ability to work safely. Effective communication with team members. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing or distribution experience preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, loud noise, and forklift traffic. Exercise caution and wear appropriate PPE, including safety toe shoes, eye protection, and ear protection. D Shift involves working Wednesday through Friday and every other Saturday from 7:00am to 7:15pm, while B Shift involves working Sunday through Tuesday, rotating Saturdays from 7:00pm to 7:15am, with a pay differential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.00/hr.
