Job Description
Job Overview Are you a detail oriented person? Have you ever worked somewhere where you saw a glaring issue, knew exactly how to fix it, but management ignored you? We don't work that way here. We are a small, tight-knit production crew looking for an associate who will assist in our journey of becoming a more lean production facility. This is a unique hybrid role for a natural "doer", someone who loves being hands-on on the shop floor, but who also has the analytical mindset to see how processes can be optimized, streamlined, and made more efficient. If you see a bottleneck, a waste of movement, or a better way to sequence a task, we will give you the tools, the resources, and the authority to see your ideas come to fruition. If you want to take true ownership of work spaces, and constantly learn new skills, this is the position for you. Responsibilities Hands on production to meet daily and weekly sales targets (No Quotas) Restocking and cleaning production areas Engage in cross training opportunities and assist with all facets of production Operate computers and systems to aid in production and standardization Quality control testing Continuous improvement Ability to operate machine tools Operation of forklift (if trained) Experience Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical tasks is highly desirable Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a strong plus; certification preferred but not mandatory Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, or willingness to learn more about them Benefits After a brief introductory period, we offer a schedule of four 9 hour shifts and one 4 hour shift (half day once a week), or the standard five 8 hour shifts.
