00 per Hour | Full-Time | 1st Shift Risus Talent Partners is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision manufacturing company in the East Syracuse, NY area. Our client has over 50 years of experience producing prototype and low-volume production castings and is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker I to join their first-shift team. What You'll Do As a Pattern Maker I, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining complex patterns, molds, fixtures, and tooling used in manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Layout and construct complex patterns, models, molds, and rubber resin tooling Interpret blueprints, master patterns, and models to determine joints, parting lines, draft angles, radii, and other tooling requirements Plan and execute machining operations Program CNC equipment using three-axis CAM software and prepare CAD files Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery, including lathes, drills, and milling machines Grind, sand, and finish components to precise specifications Build fixtures and templates as needed Monitor tooling condition and perform routine maintenance and repairs Add stock allowances for machining tolerances Support quality initiatives and maintain adherence to ISO standards Train and mentor team members when required Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment QualificationsRequired High school diploma, GED, or Trade School training Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, shop math, and machine setup Completion of a Pattern Maker apprenticeship Minimum of 5 years of Pattern Making experience Experience with CNC machining and CAM programming Strong understanding of tooling, molds, fixtures, and manufacturing processes Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and operate various machine tools safely Compensation & Benefits $32.00
