Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Production Scheduler / Capacity Planner to manage daily scheduling and capacity across fulfillment and production operations, including chocolate molding, hand assembly, and packaging.

This is a high-impact, execution-focused role that operates as the central hub between planning and production. The position is approximately 50% on the production floor and 50% at a desk, responsible for building the schedule and ensuring it is executed in real time. Key Responsibilities Production Scheduling & PlanningOwn the daily manufacturing production schedule across all fulfillment and production areas (approx. 150+ orders per day)Break down work by department, labor requirements, and item type to meet ship dates and prioritiesSequence work to optimize flow across chocolate production, assembly, packing, and shipping Capacity Planning & Throughput ManagementDevelop and manage capacity models based on labor, work type, and throughput ratesBalance workload across teams to prevent bottlenecks, particularly between production, packing, and shippingContinuously adjust schedules to align with real-time production conditions Floor Execution & Real-Time AdjustmentsMaintain a strong presence on the production floor, driving execution and accountabilityReallocate labor and shift priorities in real time to meet output and service levelsEnsure production teams are aligned to the schedule and operating efficiently Performance Tracking & Continuous ImprovementMonitor output, efficiency, and performance using Excel and internal systemsImprove scheduling accuracy through data analysis and trend trackingIdentify inefficiencies in workflow, staging, and labor utilization and implement solutions Cross-Functional CoordinationPartner closely with Production, Fulfillment, and Customer Service teamsEnsure clean handoffs and communication across departments to support on-time deliveryAct as a key point of coordination between planning and execution Qualifications37 years of experience in production scheduling, planning in a manufacturing environmentBackground in fulfillment, assembly, or labor-driven manufacturing environmentsStrong understanding of capacity planning, throughput, and labor balancingProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and reportingAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with shifting prioritiesStrong communication skills and leadership presence on the production floor What We OfferCompetitive salary within the $70,000 $90,000 rangeComprehensive benefits package401(k) with company matchOpportunity to play a key role in a high-growth, operationally complex environmentA collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on execution, accountability, and results Join Nassau CandyIf you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving operational challenges in real time, and want to directly impact production performancewe encourage you to apply and be part of our continued growth.
