Job Description:
Job Overview The Production Assistant facilitates the end-to-end manufacturing process, ensuring all orders remain on schedule and within budget. This role involves translating purchase orders into accurate cost sheets, liaising between design teams and factories, and tracking deliverables to ensure seamless bulk production.
Responsibilities and Duties Vendor Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for factories and overseas vendors to ensure quality standards and timely delivery.
Costing & Analysis:
Build detailed cost sheets and analyze raw materials/textiles to provide cost-effective production recommendations.
Order Execution:
Review buy sheets, issue work orders, and provide clear instructions to vendors for bulk production.
Workflow Support:
Assist the Production Manager in creating schedules, maintaining progress records, and managing production data.
Reporting:
Generate weekly status reports to track production milestones and resolve potential delays.
Cross-Functional Liaison:
Coordinate with Sales and Design teams to ensure all technical information is accurate before release to factories.
Qualifications Experience:
2-5 years in the apparel industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
Competencies:
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to multitask and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organization and time-management skills. Capable of working both independently and as a collaborative team player. Flexible and adaptable to changing production needs.
