Job Description

Production Operator Shifts Available:
2:30pm to 11:00pm, M-F, overtime available
Position:
Production Operator Purpose :
Perform Operator level work operating machinery that processes refined sugar into delivery liquid and dry tankers. Production Technicians perform all required work duties from sanitation, processing, handling, documentation, quality checks, laboratory testing and basic mechanical repairs to pumps, conveyors, chutes, magnets, screens, gearboxes and filters.
Job Responsibilities :
Must be ablet to multi-task. Must be able to work Overtime to meet business needs (daily and weekly - Saturdays). Load liquid tankers and bulk hopper trailers, unload pallets of totes, handle and unload totes, Must be able to climb ladders up 20ft, work on elevated surfaces, lift from a kneeling and standing position up to 75lbs.
  • Production Operators must be self-motivated, team oriented, mechanically inclined, great attitude, level head under pressure, strong communication skills, data entry skills within Microsoft Suite and customer focused.
  • Must safely transfer sugar from railcar into tankers as both liquid and dry sugar using safe practices and technical machinery.
  • Must operator touch screen HMI equipment using sensor indications of performance to maximum machinery output
  • Must wear safety harness as duties are performed
  • Must follow all safety policies, procedures and help to mitigate risk by identifying safety opportunities
  • Must follow all SOP, Regulatory and Quality policies that meet or exceed our customer expectations
  • Must perform daily sanitation of work areas to include, sweeping, mopping, wipe down and scrubbing
  • Must handle hot water hoses, liquid sugar hoses and dry sugar chutes during work periods.
  • Must perform and complete all quality documents, records and perform laboratory analysis of sugar samples that match customer specifications and complete certificate of analysis using Microsoft
  • Must wash and clean tankers using hot hoses, lifting 50lbs and climbing ladders
  • Must be willing and able to drive spotter trucks attached to trailers, railroad track mobiles and forklifts as needed
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of HMI controlled processing equipment
  • Must be willing and able to take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
  • Food manufacturing background a plus
  • Microsoft EXCEL and WORD experience
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Experience performing quality checks a plus
