Full Job Description Production Operator Shift:
1st Shift | 6:00 AM
  • 2:00
PM Starting Pay:
$16 to $19 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Production Machine Operator to join our production team. This role involves tending to blow molding and press machines that automatically form plastic parts, ensuring proper machine operation, adjusting plastic flow, and troubleshooting issues as needed. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform start-up checklist activities. Conduct first, middle, and last quality checks, logging all findings. Follow standard work procedures and maintain production standards. Participate in continuous improvement activities. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Calculate production and scrap totals. Remove molded parts from the conveyor or mold, trim excess flash, and inspect for defects. Identify and separate nonconforming parts for recycling or rework. Notify the supervisor of any machine malfunctions or process issues. Ensure all quality and safety guidelines are followed. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and work instructions. Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written, oral, and diagram instructions. Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, and 75 lbs occasionally. Must have good vision, including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
Exposure to wet and humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to extreme heat. Moderate noise level in the work environment.
