Job Title:
General Production/Manufacturing Helper | 1st and 2nd Shift | $20-21+HR Job Description The Manufacturing Helper supports multiple areas of the production process in a fast-paced, unionized manufacturing environment. This role focuses on oven packing operations, material handling, and quality control, and is ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in hot and dusty conditions. Responsibilities Assist in various areas of the manufacturing process as production needs change. Pack and unload parts from ovens safely and efficiently. Remove finished parts from production lines and prepare them for the next stage. Perform quality control checks and visual inspections to ensure parts meet standards. Stack materials onto pallets in a safe, stable, and organized manner. Label boxes accurately for shipment or storage to maintain proper inventory and traceability. Operate a vacuum hoist to lift and move materials safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures consistently. Work mandatory overtime as needed, including frequent Saturday shifts. Essential Skills 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to regularly lift 30+ pounds throughout the shift. Willingness to work overtime, including frequent Saturday shifts when scheduled. Strong attention to detail for inspections and quality checks. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work safely and effectively in hot, dusty conditions. Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in general labor, production, quality control, or foundry work is beneficial. Ability to learn and safely operate a vacuum hoist and other material-handling equipment. Comfort working within a union environment and adhering to established processes and procedures. Work Environment This role is based in a foundry-like manufacturing environment that is hot and dusty, requiring comfort with physically demanding work. The facility operates on 1st shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) and 2nd shift (2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), with frequent mandatory Saturday work. The schedule may change to four 10-hour shifts depending on business needs. Team members receive two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch each shift. You will use material-handling equipment such as a vacuum hoist and work around ovens and production lines. Uniforms and work boots are provided, supporting a practical, safety-focused dress code appropriate for a heavy industrial environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brook Park, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.32 - $21.32/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
