Job Description

SUMMARY:
Contribute to the grating manufacturing process to ensure proper quality of product. This process will include working with several others as part of a team and will require the ability to coordinate, communicate, and work well with others. Work is reviewed by a supervisor to ensure quality and accuracy. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate effectively with and work well with others. Follow all work instructions, operating procedures, and safety requirements Assembles work and assists production lines, assist with setups and changeovers as needed. Accurately compute all data in the ERP system according to training protocol. Keep personal and common work areas clean and organized. Perform other duties and cross-train as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES
: This opportunity is open to high school juniors and seniors who are seeking to gain foundational knowledge and practical exposure within the manufacturing industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee engages in repetitive movement tasks that require the employee to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, grasp, push and pull grating material of various size and weights for long periods of time. The employee will regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Such tasks must be undertaken using proper lifting techniques and may be performed with help from another employee and/or other available resources (e.g. lifting or moving equipment).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential duties of this job the employee is regularly working on the production floor. The work environment requires the use of Proper Protective Equipment (PPE). Exposure to noise, dust, heat and cold on a regular basis. Exposure to machine and tool hazards requiring care and attention to safety rules and standards.
