- Every Friday Benefits Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance 401(k) Plan (After 1 Year of Service) 15 Days of Vacation Position Summary The Commercial Furniture Designer & Data Specialist is responsible for supporting workplace planning, furniture design, asset management, and facility data accuracy across multiple locations.
This role combines interior design expertise with data management responsibilities to develop and maintain furniture layouts, conduct field verification assessments, support furniture installations, and manage space and asset information within facility management systems. The successful candidate will serve as a key resource in ensuring workplace environments are functional, accurately documented, and aligned with organizational standards through the effective use of AutoCAD, Archibus, SharePoint, and inventory management processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial furniture experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support space planning, furniture management, and data integrity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Furniture Design & Space Planning Design and update furniture layouts using AutoCAD. Conduct field verification assessments to ensure alignment between floor plans and actual workspace configurations. Meet with stakeholders to assess space and furniture needs. Develop and present space planning options and furniture layout solutions. Furniture Verification & Documentation Perform furniture verification walks across multiple locations. Update AutoCAD floor plans to accurately reflect field conditions. Maintain accurate furniture and workspace records. Installation & Project Support Provide support during furniture installations and reconfigurations. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. Assist in resolving installation-related issues as needed. Warranty & Order Management Manage furniture warranty claims and coordinate resolutions. Review furniture orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements. Inventory & Asset Management Assist with furniture inventory audits and verification processes. Maintain accurate asset records and documentation. Support ongoing inventory tracking and reporting initiatives. Systems & Data Management Utilize SharePoint to organize project documentation and facilitate collaboration. Support Archibus operations related to space and asset management. Conduct field data collection and verification activities. Input, maintain, and update facility and asset information within Archibus. Maintain accurate furniture layouts and space data within facility management systems. Qualifications Experience with commercial furniture systems and workplace environments. Proficiency in AutoCAD for furniture layout and space planning. Experience utilizing SharePoint for documentation and collaboration. Strong data management and recordkeeping skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience with Archibus or similar facility management software is preferred. Education Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design required. Related Experience Experience in commercial furniture design, specification, and installation. Experience conducting field verifications and maintaining floor plans. Familiarity with inventory management processes and asset tracking. Experience reviewing furniture orders and coordinating warranty claims. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to bend, stoop, reach, or lift up to 25 pounds. Must possess the visual acuity necessary to perform detailed design and data management tasks, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
