Job Description

About the Role As a Manufacturing Assembly Lead, you will oversee daily production operations, ensuring that assembly teams meet rigorous quality, efficiency, and scheduling targets. You will serve as a key technical leader, utilizing your expertise to optimize workflows, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement across our mechanical assembly and testing processes. Responsibilities Direct daily assembly activities, ensuring all work instructions and standard operating procedures are strictly followed to maintain product integrity. Proactively identify and resolve production bottlenecks, conducting root cause analysis to prevent non-conformances and improve operational efficiency. Coordinate material staging and resource allocation to ensure production schedules are met while minimizing waste. Foster a high-performance team culture by providing clear guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering departments to refine manufacturing methods and eliminate process variation. Manage employee performance through objective appraisals, consistent policy application, and recognition of exemplary work. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of supervisory experience in mechanical assembly, power generation, or gas turbine manufacturing. Proven ability to lead teams, build consensus, and drive accountability in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on implementing corrective actions and process improvements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic time-tracking systems. US Citizenship required; ability to pass background and drug screenings. Preferred Skills Technical degree or relevant certification. Experience working within aerospace or defense industry standards. Demonstrated success in cross-training teams to increase operational flexibility.
