Job Description

Job Purpose We are seeking a dependable and motivated Production Floater to join our team on 2nd Shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) . In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in supporting plant operations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting production teams in achieving daily manufacturing goals. This position offers the opportunity to learn various aspects of the production process, develop new skills, and contribute to the success of a fast-paced manufacturing operation. Candidates who are safety-conscious, team-oriented, and eager to learn will thrive in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of production equipment, machinery, and plant floors. Assist with cleaning and housekeeping activities, including machines, mixers, hoppers, and production areas. Support production operations by hand-stacking, sorting, and splitting concrete products as needed. Empty and dispose of waste materials and garbage on a daily basis. Learn and assist with cuber operations and related production equipment. Learn to safely operate a forklift and transport materials throughout the facility. Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and company safety policies. Assist maintenance and production personnel during machine breakdowns and repairs. Assist with mold changes and machine setup activities. Support the tumbling process and other product-finishing operations. Assemble fire pit kits and other packaged products according to specifications. Perform material handling, production support, and general labor tasks as assigned. Assist in achieving daily production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Education, Knowledge, and Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and use a tape measure, depth gauge, and other basic measuring tools. Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures. Respirator fit testing may be required based on job duties and work environment. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and involves regular exposure to machinery, noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions. Employees are required to follow all safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Work is primarily performed indoors and in close proximity to other team members. Physical Demands The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 80 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to safely operate equipment and tools used in a manufacturing environment. Ability to communicate effectively to exchange information and respond to workplace needs. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
