General Production Worker, START ASAP Job Description This role focuses on assembling and packaging electronic products in a calm, quiet production environment. You will follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions to build high-quality assemblies, support production schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. Responsibilities Read work orders, drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions to accurately assemble products. Assemble manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions. Execute assembly builds in a timely manner in line with the production schedule. Work at a bench or on the shop floor to assemble electronic assemblies. Collect parts from inventory as needed to complete assigned work. Set up daily work according to the production schedule or verbal instructions. Use hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches, to complete assemblies. Work at different workstations and cross-train to support other departments as required. Package finished products according to boxing and work instructions or verbal directions. Label all products and assemblies accurately and complete associated paperwork. Perform testing on a variety of custom electronic products. Essential Skills At least 1 year of assembly experience. At least 1 year of production experience. Hands-on experience with general assembly work in a manufacturing environment. Experience using hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches. Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Capability to operate production or assembly machinery as needed. Work Environment The work takes place in a quiet, calm production facility that differs from a typical loud manufacturing environment. You will work at benches and on the shop floor using hand tools such as torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches, and may work with or around production and SMT machines. The role involves moving between different workstations and supporting multiple departments as needed. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and ESD protection standards, with a steady, focused pace of work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
