Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining brake press machines to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with various fabrication tools, and a thorough understanding of blueprint reading and quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality production processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Shift :
1st Shift - 6 AM - 2:30
PM M-F Pay :
$17-18.00 Duties Set up and operate brake press machines, ensuring proper alignment, tooling, and safety procedures are followed Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce accurate metal components Adjust machine parameters and tooling to achieve desired angles, dimensions, and finishes Conduct routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards at all times Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure parts meet quality requirements Perform routine maintenance on machinery including lubrication, calibration, and troubleshooting mechanical issues Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other fabrication tools as needed Assist in the setup and operation of CNC programming for related machining tasks such as CNC lathe or milling machines Support quality inspection processes by verifying dimensions and tolerances before final approval Requirements Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and electrical discharge machining Ability to read complex blueprints and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles accurately Competence in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including stamping presses and tooling setups Experience with welding techniques and mechanical assembly is preferred Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments Familiarity with crane operation for material handling is advantageous Ability to work efficiently within safety guidelines while maintaining high-quality standards If you are passionate about precision machining and fabrication processes, eager to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply today.
