As a Packaging Laborer, you'll support crucial packaging operations, helping keep production flowing smoothly. You'll work closely with shift leaders to manage bagging and baler processes, ensuring products are packaged efficiently and safely. Your role will be vital in maintaining high-quality standards while keeping work areas clean and organized. What You'll Do As a Packaging Laborer, you will be responsible for: Operating bagging and baler machinery in accordance with safety and efficiency guidelines. Assisting in starting and stopping pellet mills, and reporting any moisture or material issues to the Shift Lead. Moving, wrapping, and stacking finished products on pallets, ensuring proper placement in the warehouse. Using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials safely. Completing production reports accurately, including filling pellet sample cups and tagging pallets with quality control information. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following proper procedures and company policies. Supporting other production areas as needed to meet daily goals. Performing simple maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal operation. What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have: A high school diploma or GED preferred. Prior forklift experience and familiarity with production lines is a plus. Good coordination of eyes, hands, and feet to operate machinery safely. Ability to read scales and interpret measurements. Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs consistently and standing for over 7 hours each day.
