We are an early childhood school dedicated to offering children opportunities to realize their love for learning. Our state-of-the-art facility offers children endless opportunities for meaningful learning, outdoor experiences, and nurturing relationships with adults and peers alike. At KLA Schools of Hillsboro, we believe that all our team members are teachers and ensure that we offer training in both the Reggio Emilia approach and KLA Schools methods and teaching strategies. Support teachers are trained and supported to help in different age groups and being able to adjust to the different groups and dynamics. Must be registered in the Oregon background Registry prior to starting date.
Support Staff Responsibilities:
Your job will include encouraging creativity, fostering academic growth, and nurturing your tiny learners. It's a rewarding and fulfilling profession reserved for those who love children and the learning process, who have equal parts enthusiasm and patience, and who feel right at home with paint on their fingers and a storybook in their hands. As an early childhood educator, you are responsible for providing safe, developmentally appropriate programs aligned with your age group and milestones, as well as our teaching approach.
Your job will include:
Adapting daily routines to meet the interest and needs of the individual child and the group Developing activities that promote age-appropriate skills and milestones Implementing activities that meet the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of their students Providing a classroom environment that encourages parent participation Observing children and making notes of progress and development Integrating special needs children in a positive and respectful manner. Children learn best when they are in a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment. Ensuring that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe
Qualifications & Requirements:
Demonstrate high personal integrity. Sensitive to the individual and group needs of children. A joyful approach to the child. Ability to create an atmosphere of positive and appropriate discipline. Sensitive to the individual needs of parents and the ability to communicate with parents effectively.
