Summary:
The Underwriting Production Specialist determines acceptability, conditions and pricing of specific property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks and agrees on coverage within regulatory requirements, corporate product offerings and designated authority level. They will be responsible for specific agency, region or LOB efforts and acts as a front line referral source for more junior underwriters. A typical day will include the following: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of loss experience and business conditions of key accounts, regions or agents as well as loss trends and any relevant legal or economic factors regarding the property & casualty business line. 80% of role comprised or production related responsibilities. 20% of role comprised of referral, training, special project and agency relationship mgmt. Assist in the training and development of coworkers as directed by management. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all products, services, priorities and target markets in the property & casualty line of business or insurance segment. Underwrites large, complex property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks. Participates on a team of underwriters and other staff to meet the property & casualty insurance and service needs of large multi-product customers Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Underwriting experience EEO Statement:
