Job Title:
General Production Worker $18.00/hr Job Description This role offers multiple production opportunities within a busy manufacturing facility, including wheel loading, control booth monitoring, landfill product assistance, and rail loading. You will work with a variety of equipment to move, load, and monitor materials throughout the plant. Recent manufacturing experience is required, but no specific concrete manufacturing experience is needed, as full training is provided for all tasks. Responsibilities Perform general production duties within a manufacturing environment, following all safety and operational procedures. Operate as a wheel loader by pushing materials into loading machines, performing clean-up work, and using tools such as brooms and other basic equipment. Work at heights as needed, including performing cleaning tasks from ladders and elevated areas in a safe and controlled manner. Monitor facility conditions from a control booth, including observing and tracking temperatures and other basic process indicators, and promptly reporting any irregularities. Support production operations on 2nd shift (5:00 p.m.
m.) on a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, including every other weekend, as assigned. Train initially on 1st shift for 2nd shift production roles to learn processes, safety practices, and equipment operation before transitioning to the regular 2nd shift schedule. Assist with landfill product operations on-site by loading and unloading landfill material onto machines and ensuring materials are handled efficiently and safely. Remain flexible and available to work additional hours during the week and on weekends for the landfill product assistant role, based on operational needs. Move, transport, and unload product throughout the facility as a rail loader, ensuring materials reach the correct locations in a timely and safe manner. Work extended shifts as a rail loader, typically 5:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m. or 5:00 a.m.
- 7:00 p.m., supporting 12
- to 14-hour production days as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular housekeeping tasks, including sweeping and removing debris from work zones. Follow all safety guidelines, wear required personal protective equipment, and immediately report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals, adapt to changing priorities, and support different production areas as needed.
