The General production worker will be responsible for using a general mechanical aptitude to upkeep the machines which includes degreasing the equipment and heat treating the fasteners and other parts being manufacturing. You will monitor and adjust fluid, operate multiple machines, and perform routine checks to keep production running smoothly and efficiently. Prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, general mechanical aptitude, and comfortable using hand and power tools would be a good fit for this role. Responsibilities Maintain proper fluid levels in wash and rinse tanks throughout the shift. Perform washer titration at least once per shift, accurately record results, and adjust chemical levels as needed to meet required specifications. Operate degreasing machines safely, following all procedures and safety guidelines. Operate the bead blaster, maintain appropriate media levels, and remove waste from machines in a timely manner. Operate the chip separator to remove metal chips and debris from parts to ensure cleanliness and quality. Read and follow engineering specifications to ensure parts meet required standards. Use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and quality where needed. Perform threading and roll forming operations as required by production needs. Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel. Perform repetitive movements and tasks consistently and accurately throughout the shift. Follow all safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures to maintain a clean and safe work area. Essential Skills Basic computer skills to input, record, and review operational data. Mechanical ability to operate, adjust, and monitor machines and equipment safely. Ability to perform repetitive movements throughout the shift while maintaining accuracy and quality. Ability to read and follow engineering specifications and instructions. Experience or aptitude in machine operating in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to use micrometers and calipers or willingness to learn these measuring tools. Ability to safely handle chemicals and follow procedures for washer titration and chemical adjustments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Doylestown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
