We are building a high-performing Superworm team focused on quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a strong working leader who can support daily operations while helping develop employees, improve processes, and maintain production standards. Position Summary The Superworm Lead is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing daily Superworm production operations, husbandry, workflow management, quality standards, and team performance. This role works directly alongside team members while providing leadership, training, accountability, and operational support. The Superworm Lead reports directly to the Production Supervisor and serves as a key link between production staff and leadership. Success in this role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to maintaining safe and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Production & Husbandry Perform daily husbandry and production tasks Ensure insect quality, health, and production standards are maintained Monitor environmental conditions and production performance Assist with production planning and workflow coordination Perform quality control inspections and corrective actions as needed Maintain a clean, organized work area Leadership & Team Development Lead and support a small team of production employees Monitor employee performance and reinforce accountability standards Motivate team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals Communicate expectations clearly and professionally Support employee retention through leadership and engagement Assist management with staffing, training, and operational improvements Operations & Continuous Improvement Oversee daily workflow and task execution Perform equipment calibrations and verify operational accuracy Identify production challenges and implement solutions Support research opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards Maintain accurate production records Communicate operational updates and concerns to leadership Collaborate with supervisor and management to achieve production objectives Safety & Compliance Promote and model safe work practices Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and operational standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment Identify and report safety concerns immediately What We're Looking For We are hiring for leadership, accountability, and operational excellence.

Proven leadership experience with a small team Experience leading teams and driving accountability Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to solve problems and implement practical solutions Ability to train and develop employees effectively Professional communication with all levels of staff Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards Interest in long-term employment and career growth Preferred Qualifications Experience leading teams of 5 or more employees Experience with employee training, accountability, and retention Experience in agriculture, animal care, husbandry, manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations Experience maintaining records or reports Experience with process improvement initiatives Experience working with live insects or animals is preferred but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently Ability to stand, walk, squat, kneel, bend, and carry throughout the shift Ability to work in a hot, humid, dusty environment Ability to safely handle live insects Ability to perform physical work while leading and supporting a team Schedule Monday
