General Production Worker

Job Title:

General Production Worker Job Description The role involves multiple tasks including tray scraping, magazine supply, cupping, picking, cleaning, hand packing, and wrapped inspection. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring product quality in a food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Wear and maintain gloves in a sanitary manner, switching them as you rotate tasks. Supply cups for all cup setter magazines and clear any stuck paper on cupsetter heads. Ensure the correct size cup paper is used and that each tray cavity receives one cup paper. Reposition incorrectly placed cup papers and replace any damaged ones. Clean Tonnaer screw when the line is down for one shift or longer. Remove defective products from the inspection belt and watch for jams. Conduct metal checks and maintain cleanliness of metal detection probes. Start and stop the main line as necessary and perform metal detection checks at the end of production. Fill cases with the required number of bags and monitor bag seal integrity. Inspect wrapped products and reset the main line after wrapping stops. Rotate through stations efficiently, fill and seal cases, and track product quality. Record case counts and ensure adherence to all food safety and quality standards. Essential Skills Experience in production, general labor, packaging, food production, and food manufacturing. Ability to work all shifts, including the first shift for training purposes. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hershey, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
