We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators and Production Workers to join our team and help us manufacture our top-quality products. Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery and equipment across various positions in the production facility, including parts assembly, machine operation, press operation, and auger coiling machine operation . Perform physically demanding labor with consistent speed and accuracy. Maintain high production standards and seek opportunities to improve productivity without compromising quality. Follow safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (e.g., eye and hearing protection). Exhibit excellent attendance and punctuality to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various machines and tools. Experience operating auger coiling machines or similar wire/coiling equipment is a plus. Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in delivering high-quality results. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively with team members. Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.
What We Offer:
Hourly Pay:
Starting at $23.57/hr (General Plant Worker A rate). Employees who advance into the Auger Coiling department currently earn up to $26.65/hr (Auger Coiler A rate), per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement; rates are subject to change under future agreements. Days:
Eligibility for 13 paid holidays, including your birthday. After the Probationary Period (One Year or 2,080 Worked Hours, Whichever Comes Later): Family medical insurance is currently offered, with premium costs currently shared as follows:
Employee Contribution:
22% of the premium.
Company Contribution:
78% of the premium. Dental, vision, short-term disability, and term life insurance are currently fully covered by the company. 401(k) plan with employer contributions of 3% of wages, based on hours worked. Paid vacation, starting at 40 hours and increasing with years of service, up to 160 hours. Sick leave is front-loaded annually at 40 hours per year. Flexible Spending Account (FSA). After 90
Days:
Medical insurance is currently offered at Affordable Care Act rates:
Single Coverage:
Available at the ACA rate.
Spouse and Children Coverage:
Available but paid entirely by the probationary employee if elected. Sick leave accrues from the employee's first hour worked, per the Allegheny County Paid Sick Leave Ordinance (1 hour for every 35 hours worked, up to 40 hours/year); accrued time becomes available for use on the 90th calendar day after hire. This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between General Pipe Cleaners and United Steelworkers Local 5032-18. Wage rates, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment described above reflect current practice under that Agreement and are subject to its terms, conditions, and amendment process.
Work Schedule:
Standard workweek: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime may be required and can include extended weekday hours (Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:50 PM) and/or Saturday hours (7:00 AM to 12:00 PM). Overtime pay applies after 8 hours worked in a given day, and for all hours worked on Saturday. Why Join Us?
