Job Description

SWJ Technologie specializes in providing engineering, planning, and project management services across various industries. We are currently seeking a Quality Supervisor / Assistant a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This role is a contractor position based in Meadville, PA that requires onsite presence and willingness to travel . PURPOSE:
The Quality Supervisor/Assistant will support ongoing quality and operational continuity activities at a manufacturing facility scheduled for a planned shutdown on September 30, 2026. The primary purpose of this role is to assist the QEHS function in maintaining stable day-to-day operations, minimizing disruptions, and helping reduce customer complaints during the remaining operational period. This position supports the QEHS Manager directly and contributes to maintaining basic quality standards, documentation control, and internal reporting throughout the transition period.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the QEHS Manager with daily quality-related activities and assigned projects Assist in reviewing, revising, and creating Standard Work Instructions and Work Instructions Maintain organized quality documentation and assist with basic reporting tasks Monitor production and operational activities from a quality assurance perspective Help ensure operational continuity and adherence to internal quality expectations Follow direction from the QEHS Manager and Plant Leadership on priorities and tasks Support preparation of internal reports related to quality performance and issues Contribute to reducing operational disruptions and customer complaints during plant operations No responsibility for formal ISO, IATF, or external audit management
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Associate degree or technical education in Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred Basic understanding of quality systems in a manufacturing environment required
REQUIRED SKILLS
Basic knowledge of Quality principles and manufacturing processes Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and stakeholders Ability to create clear and structured documentation (e.g., Work Instructions, reports) Reliability and willingness to be on-site regularly (3-5 days per week required
PREFERRED SKILLS
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment Exposure to quality documentation systems or controlled document environments Familiarity with basic reporting tools and data tracking in Excel Experience supporting quality or operations teams in a plant environment Understanding of continuous improvement concepts (basic level)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is normally performed in an office but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Comfortable to work on computer and headset / phone for extended time. Very good English / Communication skills Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
