Production Worker - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking dedicated and reliable production workers for our 1st shift. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the production and handling of cinder blocks in a dynamic and physically demanding environment. Responsibilities Hand grind tools to achieve the correct shape and texture. Work on an assembly line to place cinder blocks onto pallets. Lift 50 pounds consistently as part of daily tasks. Inspect blocks for blemishes or deformities to ensure quality control. Engage in repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods (up to 9 hours). Pick up and manage plastic used for wrapping palletized cinder blocks. Essential Skills Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds. Experience in a warehouse, masonry, or construction setting. Comfortable performing tedious tasks and standing for long periods. Reliability and attention to detail in counting and inspections. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience with power and hand tools is a plus. Previous experience in construction or warehouse environments is advantageous. Work Environment The work is conducted in the grinding department, which is a very loud, dirty, and open environment. Temperatures can vary, being quite hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You will work around large industrial machines that produce cinder blocks. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, and a shirt with sleeves (no tank tops or shorts). Safety gear such as hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves will be provided. The team is comprised of about 15 full-time employees with up to 20 temporary workers. The shift runs from 3 pm to 12 am Monday through Thursday, and 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Fridays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
