- Full-time Job Summary Clayton Kendall is seeking an experienced Bindery & Print Production Operator to join our Monroeville print facility.
This hands-on role is responsible for operating bindery and finishing equipment, supporting digital and wide-format print production, and ensuring high-quality finished products are delivered accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a commercial printing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production setting while working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain bindery and finishing equipment to produce completed printed materials according to job specifications. Perform measuring, trimming, die cutting, folding, drilling, padding, laminating, coil binding, hole punching, shrink wrapping, and other finishing processes. Operate specialized equipment including, but not limited to: Programmable cutters, Duplo cutter/creaser, UV coater, Folding equipment, Drills and bindery equipment and Laminating and finishing equipment. Assist with the operation of digital and wide-format printing equipment as production needs require. Review job tickets and production specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. Inspect printed and finished materials for quality, consistency, and adherence to customer requirements. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate maintenance concerns to management. Package, label, and prepare completed jobs for distribution or shipment. Maintain production schedules and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow company quality standards, safety procedures, and production workflows. Collaborate with production staff and other departments to ensure timely project completion. Assist with training and supporting less experienced team members as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a commercial printing, bindery, or print production environment. Experience operating bindery and finishing equipment required. Experience with digital printing and wide-format printing equipment preferred. Familiarity with print production processes, materials, and finishing techniques. Basic computer skills required.

Knowledge of commercial print production and finishing workflows. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to read and interpret job tickets, specifications, and work instructions. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet production deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Proficiency with basic computer applications and production-related software.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around production equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment. Visual ability to inspect printed materials for quality, accuracy, and defects.
