Fresh Artists installs artwork in corporations to advocate for quality public art education and to raise funds to deliver innovative visual arts programs and art supplies to public schools struggling with shrinking art education budgets. Fresh Artists is seeking a Print Production Manager to fulfill large format digital printing, digital collection management, artwork installation, light facility maintenance and to provide program support as needed. The ideal candidate must love to collaborate with others, work well independently, be flexible and have a deep appreciation for art education and children's artwork. This is not a remote position. Position Overview- 40 hours/week, Full-Time, In studio The Print Production Specialist is a key role at Fresh Artists, responsible for both producing high-quality prints of student artwork and maintaining the organization, tracking, and care of the artwork collection. This role ensures that every piece—from intake to final print—is handled with accuracy, respect, and integrity. Blending technical production with detailed record-keeping, this position plays a critical role in preserving student artwork while preparing it for installations, partnerships, and storytelling. Responsibilities Accessioning the Artwork Transport artwork to studio Scan, Color correct and archive according to studio standards Create High-resolution Natives Create artwork licenses Coordinate with teachers to distribute licenses to parents Collect signed licenses from teachers Executive Director Quality checks license data Scan and archive returned licenses File & Asset Management Organize and maintain digital files for all print-ready artwork Ensure proper naming, storage, and accessibility of files Materials & Equipment Monitor inventory of paper, ink, and production, and installation supplies Maintain printers and ensure equipment is functioning properly Coordinate maintenance or repairs with Director Print Preparation Prepare and optimize files for print, including sizing, cropping, and resolution adjustments Check and correct fonts, image resolution, and color settings Preflight client files Ensure files meet production standards and specifications Print Production Operate large-format printers & equipment (Canon Arizona, Canon Colorado, Colex SharpCut, Summa S-Series Roll Cutter) Monitor print quality to ensure color accuracy and consistency Manage print queues and prioritize projects based on deadlines Quality Control with Director Inspect printed materials to verify color, alignment, and sharpness Ensure outputs meet production standards and quality expectations Troubleshoot and resolve print issues in real time Approve or reject prints based on quality benchmark, reprinting when necessary Document recurring issues communicate to Director General Program Support Assist with large format digital printing, trimming, laminating Assist with program design and implementation Provide support for programs, events, and meetings Assist with event fabrication, set-up, and tear down Prepare rooms and art supplies for events Facilities Maintenance & Shop Support Perform basic facility upkeep and light repairs around the studio and shop Ensure trash areas are left clean and properly reset before leaving
Position Requirements:
Experience with large-format printing or print production preferred Experience with ONYX and ErgoSoft RIP softwares preferred Mac Operating System, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite proficiency Ability to lift 50 lbs. This position requires applicant to have a car that will be used for deliveries and pickups (with mileage reimbursed) Familiarity with FileMaker, AirTable, and Salesforce Have or qualify for Child Abuse Clearance and FBI fingerprinting

$38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
