Roasting Assistant Chobani $22.25-$28.75, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, flex time, 401(k) United States, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia 1335 Frankford Avenue (Show on map) May 28, 2026 Summary The Coffee Roasting Assistant will work with the Roasting team to ensure that production needs are met consistently and without loss of product, time or profitability. The Ideal candidate is process oriented, pays great attention to detail and has a passion for high quality great tasting coffee. 2-2-3 12 hour
Schedule:
B Shift 6 am - 6:30am Responsibilities
Assist the Roasting team in receiving and staging green (unroasted) coffee beans
Participate in blending and weighing coffee
Oversee and track inventory of green coffee beans, bags and other production materials
Develop necessary product knowledge (coffee names, bag weights, etc.)
Gain experience operating coffee grinders, green coffee bean loaders and coffee roasters
Perform daily maintenance for optimum machine capability on coffee roasters and other roasting accessories
Occasionally participate in weekend cleanings of roasting equipment
Alert Production Managers and Roasters of any mechanical issues or changes in production
Properly follow S.O.Ps and protocols as laid out by Production and Roasting Managers
Must be available to work flexible hours and occasional overtime on weekends
Must develop knowledge of GMP, SQF and food plant operations
Requirements
Ability to work under pressure in a fluctuating production environment
Forklift experience is preferred but not required
Experience in a production and manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience cupping coffee is preferred but not required
Ability to reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, bend over, etc.
Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small objects, boxes, etc.
Be physically active for 8 hours without becoming fatigued or out of breath
Stand for 8 hours a day
Frequently lift and or move 40+ pounds
Occasionally lift and or move 75+ pounds
Push / pull up to 1400 lbs with supplied equipment (Rolling cart, Palette Jack, etc.)
Must be comfortable working in both hot and cold environments

The salary range for this full-time position is$22.25-$28.75, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
