Key Responsibilities Analyze mechanical issues on assigned equipment, planning for and taking corrective action. Will make necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain maximum production efficiency and quality. Will test equipment operation after repairs or installations are completed, notifying stakeholders of equipment operational status. Will also assist with new equipment installations as needed. Monitor internally calibrated equipment used in Research and Development, maintaining associated documentation.
Manage and monitor the listing of operational requirements, ensuring the execution of procurement activities.
Perform minor repairs on flooring, concrete, drywall, and facility painting. Will repair and replace lighting, process, pneumatic, and water piping (potable and fire protection). Move furniture and miscellaneous boxes/files as required. Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on assigned equipment by visually inspecting, greasing, testing safety switches, measuring with go-no-go gauges, recording critical information, and oil analysis, reporting adverse findings to the Manager. To maximize equipment up-time, potential issues should be identified and either repaired immediately or scheduled for repairs to eliminate breakdowns during operation. Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment policies. Will report concerns which may have an adverse impact on health, safety and the environment.
Attend monthly maintenance meetings. Maintain a clean and safe area, working safely and ensuring the safety of team members.
Adheres to AkzoNobel's Code of Conduct. Assist with on call duties after hours and weekends, as required.
Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years' related experience. Vocational/military training will be considered in lieu of experience.
Ability to read and comprehend equipment repair manuals, standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Proficient in the safe use of a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices (tape measures calipers, gauges, micrometers etc.), and power tools (table saw, cut off saw, bench grinders, sanders).
Skillful in building repair and grounds maintenance to include carpentry, plumbing, pipefitting and related operations.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able and willing to work overtime as required.
Physical Requirements Must possess manual dexterity and have the ability to lift at least fifty-five (55) pounds.
Must be able to stand or walk for hours.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to use ladders, hoists, industrial trucks and material handling equipment.
Must have the ability to wear a respirator and other associated Health, Safety, and Environmental personal protective equipment.
Rewards and Benefits
The hourly rate for this position will be $28.00 - $32.00 based upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
