Production Lead

Job Title:

Production Lead Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Provide hands‑on leadership and direction to production associates Train, coach, and mentor team members on procedures, quality standards, and safety Serve as first point of escalation for employee questions or issues on the floor Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment Production & Operations Lead daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and productivity goals Assign work, set priorities, and balance labor across production lines or work cells Monitor output, downtime, scrap, and rework; escalate concerns as needed Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and system transactions Support new product launches, changeovers, and short‑run or custom jobs common in contract manufacturing Quality & Compliance Ensure production meets customer specifications and internal quality standards Perform and document in‑process quality checks Support corrective actions and process improvements related to defects or errors Follow GMPs, SOPs, and client‑specific requirements (as applicable) Safety Enforce safety policies and safe work practices at all times Conduct start‑of‑shift safety checks and address hazards immediately Report incidents and near‑misses and participate in investigations Continuous Improvement Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements Assist with implementing lean, 5S, or productivity initiatives Communicate production performance and improvement ideas to supervisors Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Reading, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
