Job Description

Your impact As a computer-integrated machining operator, you'll blend hands-on craftsmanship with automated systems to achieve high yield, tight tolerances, and consistent quality. Key responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor automated equipment; manage materials to keep production flowing Perform line clearance, assemblies, changeovers, optical tool inspections, and mechanical/negative checks Inspect parts using gauges and fixtures; apply statistical methods to oversee quality Troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency Adhere to SOPs and Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices; complete required training and documentation Meet role requirements and support continuous and regulatory improvement initiatives Requirements High School Diploma or GED Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English Onsite, 2nd shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM EST No sponsorship or relocation available Preferred profile Previous manufacturing experience Microsoft Office Suite familiarity Organized, detail-focused, reliable, and collaborative Technical competencies Die attach/bonding processes Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; general equipment diagnostics CNC tooling, programming, and troubleshooting Production run setups and manual machining Tool/die/mold setup and repair Life at Alcon Work with teammates who share best practices and support your growth Develop your career with focused learning and advancement opportunities Contribute to our mission: improve sight, improve lives Benefits include health, life, retirement, flexible time off for exempt associates, PTO for hourly associates, and more Make your impact visible: alcon.com.careers
