Lamagna Cheese is seeking a reliable and motivated Production Associate to support ricotta cheese production and packaging at our facility. This role is an important part of daily operations, helping ensure safe, consistent, and high‑quality products while maintaining a clean and organized production environment.

Monday - Friday; 6:00am to 2:00pm

Starting at $17/hr Why You'll Love This Role The Production Associate supports the day‑to‑day production of ricotta cheese, including production, packaging, sanitation, and setup for the next day's operations. This role works closely with production leadership and team members to maintain food safety standards, meet production goals, and support warehouse needs when necessary. What You'll Do Assist with the production and packaging of ricotta cheese from start to finish. Perform machine operation duties, including case erector operation, cup filler operation, and pallet stacking. Accurately document production activities to ensure consistent, safe, and quality products. Maintain a clean and organized production room by washing, rinsing, sanitizing, and properly storing equipment after use. Complete time‑of‑use, daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation tasks with appropriate documentation. Assist with pre‑operation and post‑operation inspections and cleanup activities. Support packaging backup and assist in the warehouse as needed. Follow all food safety policies and procedures to ensure safe, high‑quality products at all times. Identify opportunities for operational improvement and share ideas with management. Promote company values and culture drivers through daily actions. Perform all duties in a safe manner. Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for an 8‑hour shift with occasional bending, twisting, climbing, and other repetitive movements. Willingness to work in various production and warehouse environments. Ability to follow standard operating procedures and food safety requirements. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Work with General Manager, Plant Manager, and other production employees to complete all tasks within the Ricotta production area. These items include but are not limited to the following:
Production:
Responsible for the production and packaging of ricotta cheese; Assists in the ricotta production from start to finish; Assisting with all production runs and documenting all steps in make procedure to ensure accurate, consistent, safe, quality products every time. Key responsibilities include stacking (accurately building pallets of ricotta as finished cases come off the conveyor belt), machine operator #1 (managing the case erector machine), and/or machine operator #2 (managing the cup filler).
Sanitation:
Keep a clean work environment. Wash, rinse, sanitize and return all equipment back to its designated area immediately after done using. Complete time of use, daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation scheduled responsibilities along with documentation once work is complete.
Food Safety:
Follow all policies and procedures Lamagna has implemented to assist in safe, quality products at all times. May assist in pre-operation inspections. Contributes to post-operation inspections including clean up. Assists with packaging back up. Assist in the warehouse when necessary. Develop new ideas to improve the shred and warehouse operations and works with management to implement. Effectively promotes Company values and culture drivers. Perform all duties in a safe manner. Other duties as assigned. Skills, Experience & Attributes Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and stand for an 8‑hour shift with occasional bending, twisting, climbing, and other repetitive movements. Flexible to various creamery environments including unloading, making, packaging, and shipping. Annually complete all trainings within Lamagna Training Matrix. Learn cheese makes.
