CET Furniture Spec Designer

[Job Description] A Highly Reputable Furniture Dealer company in Seattle, WA is currently hiring a Designer (who is knowledgeable with furniture specs and using CET) to support a high-volume corporate account on the dealer side. This is not a traditional A&D role, and is looking for a furniture expert who has experience with furniture specs (preferably from the furniture dealership and/or manufacturer side). This role focuses on furniture layout, specification, and order accuracy for private offices and support spaces. Candidates must have contract furniture dealer/manufacturer experience, be knowledgeable in CET, and be very confident working in a high-interaction client-facing environment. The role will start as 100% onsite during the training and ramp-up phase, but will transition into a hybrid schedule. Base Pay

• $70k/yr.
• $78k/yr. (A lot of overtime pay opportunities) Location
• Seattle, WA (100% Onsite during the training and ramp-up phase, but will transition into a hybrid schedule) [Summary of Key Responsibilities] Produce accurate, dealer-level furniture specs and orders with minimal revisions.

Use CET and AutoCAD independently to deliver layouts, revisions, and documentation. Be reliable on-site, proactive, and trusted as the furniture Subject Matter Expert. Work directly with the internal project team to assess requirements and develop conceptual designs and space planning based on client needs. Will be working with one of the most reputable clients in Seattle, WA. Become the client-specific furniture brand's product expert and become familiar with other commercial furniture options to ensure workspace design consistency. Conduct field measurements and verification. Research and assist in selecting ancillary products for projects. Prepare installation drawings. [Qualification Requirements]

Furniture specification experience required. Experience working with Haworth products is a big plus. Experience working in or with a furniture dealership/manufacturing. CET and AutoCAD experience. Experience with SkeychUp and/or Project Spec 5 is a big plus. Commercial office space planning experience. Must be comfortable working in a high-interaction client-facing environment. Experience working directly with clients. Experience supporting multiple projects at once. Portfolio to submit.
