Ongoing Overview The Print Production Designer is a primarily print-focused role with some design responsibilities, centered on producing accurate, press-ready creative assets within established brand guidelines and templates. Production design roles commonly emphasize preparing final artwork, ensuring brand consistency, and delivering production-ready files with strong attention to detail. This role supports the development of in-store signage, ads, and flyers while contributing light creative concepting and photo editing. Strong print production professionals are typically expected to understand prepress requirements, file preparation, image sizing, color management, and fast-turnaround workflows. Key Responsibilities Produce on-time, error-free artwork and mechanicals for vendor delivery using templates, specifications, and brand guidelines. Output press-ready files for in-store signage, ads, flyers, and other print collateral, consistent with common print production expectations for final file preparation and prepress accuracy. Support creative concepting for print media and extend established creative direction into production-ready assets, which aligns with typical production designer responsibilities. Execute photo edits including light retouching, resizing, clipping, and image optimization for print use. Uphold quality standards by reviewing layouts, graphics, typography, and file setup before release, reflecting the quality-control focus often associated with production artist roles. Follow internal naming, archiving, and file-management procedures to maintain organized creative assets and historical collateral.? Communicate proactively about blockers, timeline risks, and schedule changes to help maintain smooth project delivery. Participate in daily 9 AM stand-ups Monday through Thursday when possible to stay aligned on priorities and fast-moving workstreams. Required Qualifications Approximately 7+ years of relevant experience in print production design, production art, or a closely related creative production role. Strong technical proficiency in print production and design problem-solving, including a solid understanding of file formats, image preparation, layout refinement, and prepress requirements. Demonstrated experience producing high-volume, detail-oriented print assets within established brand systems and templates. Proficiency with standard design and production software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, which are commonly cited as core tools for production art and print design work.
