Job Description
Port Townsend-headquartered Cannabis processing facility "Pot Townsend" is expanding its CIE (Cannabis Infused Edibles) offerings in Washington and is seeking a passionate Cannabis enthusiast, a dependable and driven co-worker, and experienced partner to join our local team. This position will play a critical role in executing day-to-day operations, scaling-up, and expanding for a variety of business needs. While the role is mostly on-site, there may be days when certain work can be done remotely. Other days, like production or packaging days, require on-site presence from all of us. Thus, candidates located nearer to Port Townsend than Seattle are preferred, and residents of the northern Olympic Peninsula (Jefferson, Clallam, and Kitsap) counties are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain divisions or subdivisions of production within our small, but growing Port Townsend shop Production for as many as 500+ dispensary retailers in WA state Monitor, organize, and respond to emails; return priority calls; and tend to purchasing needs within divisions and production stations Conduct research for business expansion and product innovation Organize and maintain digital files and documents Attend meetings as needed and take detailed notes in personal laboratory notebooks Coordinate with internal teams and external contacts Compliance and inventory management Product packaging Provide general production and administrative support as needs evolve Assist with filling various roles for absent team members, as needed Ideal Candidate:
Highly organized and detail-oriented Manufacturing, production, laboratory, or commercial food preparation experience High school diploma and completion of some college coursework; degree preferred Versatility in skills such as cooking, packaging, traceability, inventory controls, delivery, sales Team player, with a sense of humor, who will fit in with our progressive values as a company About Vangst:
