Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Planning & Material Control Specialist to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing material flow, and ensuring the timely availability of materials to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively across departments, and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Responsibilities Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules Ensure materials, components, and packaging are available to support production Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans to prevent shortages or overstock Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams Track production progress and resolve scheduling or material issues Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems Analyze demand and forecast material requirements Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiative Qualifications 2+ years of experience in production planning, material control, or supply chain (manufacturing preferred) Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Experience with ERP/MRP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Experience in manufacturing (jewelry, packaging, or related industries a plus) Familiarity with inventory control and forecasting APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP) is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for growth and advancement Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday On-site Work Location In person
