Job Description:
Perform multiple jobs within the production area on automated and semi-automated equipment, in a fast paced automotive environment. These jobs could include, but are not limited to, Machine Operator, Assembly, Tank Toter (moving tanks to various places on the plant floor) and Water Spider (supplying each line with the necessary parts to run production).
Shifts available:
3rd shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am (3rd shift's week starts on Sunday nights at 11:00pm)
Daily Responsibilities:
Work within the operator classification on all production lines and stations for job rotations. Removes flash from product, inspects visually for defects, weighs product and places it in cooling area. Perform Quality inspections and record data Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Standard Work and Quality Alerts Report any equipment malfunctions, abnormal product quality or any process that is found to be out of specification Follow standard reaction plan (labels, bins, etc.) Follow escalation process Perform tasks per instructions (i.e. error proofing on equipment) Complete required documents (shift logs, traceability, etc.) Perform first level preventative maintenance such as checking fluid levels, and gauges Keep assigned area and equipment clean, safe and orderly Requirements Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing Must comply with all work rules, policies, procedures and work instructions
HEAVY LIFTING
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times Team Oriented Strong Communication Skills Ability to work overtime Background/Drug Screen will be completed Steel toes
REQUIRED
Personal Background High School diploma or GED is
REQUIRED 1
to 3 years of previous automotive manufacturing experience is
PREFERED
Knowledge of lean production systems in manufacturing is a PLUS Intermediate Computer Skills are a
